FAQ's - Install Issue - (macOS) Developer Cannot be Verified

With newer versions of the macOS, you may get a message like "macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.". Does that mean that our software is infected with malware? Absolutely not! It really boils down to us being unwilling to submit our apps to Apple's app store. It is really a "pay to play" tactic on their part. Apple charges a 15% - 30% fee to the software company for the privilege of hosting their apps in the store. This is on top of charging these companies an annual fee to get an Apple Developer ID. We are in such a small niche market and are a small company, so we cannot justify the added cost. We have been in business since 2002 and have a great reputation in this market. We do scan our computers and website on a regular basis and do digitally sign our software with a code signing certificate. We do not allow anyone else to offer our software for download.
